The sheet a deal runs on

Every live transaction has one: the working group list, the single sheet that says who is on this deal and how to reach them - the client, the bankers, counsel for each side, the lenders, the accountants. When a signature page is missing at midnight, the WGL is what gets it found.

It is almost always maintained by hand, in a document that started as last deal's list, by whoever runs the desk. The enterprise tools that touch it live inside legal transaction platforms most working groups never see. This page is the missing simple version: add parties, add people, print the sheet - grouped by party, ordered exactly as you arrange it, with the confidentiality line where it belongs.

What is a working group list?
The contact sheet of a deal: every party involved - the client, financial advisors, legal counsel for each side, lenders, accountants - with the people staffed on it and their direct lines, cells, and emails. On a live transaction it is how anyone reaches anyone at 11 pm, and keeping it current is one of the quiet jobs that makes a deal run. Bankers call it the WGL.
Is there a free working group list template?
This page is one better than a template: a builder. Add each party, add its people, and the formatted list assembles itself - grouped by party, names and titles on the left, numbers and emails on the right, ready to print or save as PDF. No document to fight, no merge fields, no account.
Do the names and numbers I enter get uploaded?
No. A working group list is a map of who is on a confidential transaction - often before the market knows it exists. Everything here is assembled inside your browser tab, the draft is saved only in this browser's local storage, and the sheet goes only where you print or paste it.
Can it read a signature block?
Paste one and the reader picks out the reliable parts - name, title, phone numbers, email - and adds the person to the last party for you to check. It is honest assistance, not magic: signatures vary, so you always review what it found.
How should a working group list be organized?
By party, in a deliberate order - client first, then financial advisors, then counsel by side, then everyone else. Within each party, people go in seniority order. Use the role line for the label convention your deal uses (Legal Counsel - Buyer, not just the firm name), and keep one person responsible for updates: a stale WGL is how term sheets get sent to the wrong lawyer.
How do I share it with the group?
Print to PDF and attach it, or use Copy as text for a version that pastes cleanly into an email. The footer carries the standing reminder: confidential, circulate within the working group only.
